Intro：3 Doors Down has released their lead single, 'Where My Christmas Lives' off their debut (same-titled) acoustic Christmas album. The lead single is an original Christmas tune written by the band. The album also includes six acoustic versions of songs from their 2008 self-titled record, such as 'Let Me Be Myself' and 'It's Not My Time,' among others. The album has a Dec. 8 digital release, but you can hear the acoustic single on AOL Radio's Rock Holiday station.

在美国，随时都会有一个默默无闻的小乐队突然火爆起来的事情发生 。人们往往认为那只不过是大公司的炒作而已。而3 Doors Down（名字源于其发迹地佛利一块废弃的牌子），它确实值得大机构的支持。他们的歌曲既不投机取巧也不过于时髦，这个来自密西西密的乐队已经在乐迷的心目中树立了跨越传统与现代的“传统力量摇滚”的形象。而且，他们的成功也证明了：不是一定要在大城市的诞生的乐队才能引起唱片公司的注意。

     3 Doors Down的故事始于密西西比州的一个人口约4，000人的小镇--爱斯卡拖帕（Escatawpa），小镇位于比洛西市（Biloxi)东20英里处。吉它手Matt Roberts,贝斯手 Todd Harrell,歌手兼鼓手Brad Arnold和吉它手Chris Henderson就是在这里相隔不远的地方长大。

3 Doors Down是靠着一首成名单曲和很多在当地受欢迎的现场演唱会而逐渐走红的。由Brad Arnold (主唱，1978年12月27日出生)，Todd Harrell (贝司手)，Matt Roberts(吉他手)，Chris Henderson (吉他手)和Daniel Adair (鼓手)组成。
1996年，Harrell（贝司手）、Arnold(主唱)和Roberts(吉他手)这三个好朋友组建了这支乐队。因为当时成员有3个，所以3（trio）就成为了他们的名字的组成部分之一，同时他们在亚拉巴马州的一个建筑上看到了 “Doors Down”这个让他们喜爱的短语，所以乐队就被最后命名为3 Doors Down。
1997年，3 Doors Down一边演出一边推销他们一开始录制的一些小样。这期间他们的卖座单曲Kryptonite，导致了比洛克西的本地广播站WCPR空前的电话点播。这使他们在故乡大受欢迎并且逐渐能够吸引大批的观众来看他们在当地的现场演唱会。这一切帮助他们把他们的名字传到了密西西比州之外，传出了偏远的南方一直传到一些国际性的著名俱乐部，像纽约的CBGB。3 Doors Down在CBGB的表演使他们引起了Republic唱片公司的注意，这是一个Universal唱片公司的附属公司。随后他们与 Republic/Universal签了约，迈出了他们正式发行唱片的地一步。
1998年，以前和Harrell的旧乐队一起演奏过的Henderson加入了3 Doors Down演奏吉他，壮大了乐队的阵容。之后，以前曾经在录音棚里给乐队当过鼓手的Adair也加入了乐队，这使主唱Brad终于可以摆脱兼职鼓手束缚，站到台前好好发挥他主唱的作用。3 Doors Down迎来了一个新的时期。
2000年，乐队于2月发行了第一张专集《The Better Life》。并且获得了600万白金销量的不小成功（现在乐队已成立了The Better Life基金会，专门为需要食品、庇护所和医疗保障的儿童募集基金，基金将每年定期捐助到各个组织和医院）。这张专集在那一年的大多数时间曾一度排在各排行榜的榜首。
2003年，乐队又推出了新专集《Away From The Sun》。这张专集无疑比《The Better Life》更进了一步，专集发行不到一周便登上了Billboard排名前200中的第8名！！并且在一个月之内就达到了黄金销量，而后又突破了白金销量。当然这都得归功于其中非常成功的单曲When I'm Gone。还有专集里著名单曲“Here Without You”也连续创入美国Billboard排行榜前40名13周之久。同年，乐队又推出了Away From The Sun巡演的现场的EP《Another 700 Miles》，其中包括六首前两张专集中的作品和一首新歌“It’s Not Me”。现在也以达到黄金销量，看来在销售出去这么多专集以后乐队魅力依然不减。
